About a month ago, soon after I left the house, I noticed my car was acting weird. Like a transmission slip or clunk. It was then that I noticed my control panel lights - ESP/BAS and the sliding car were on. I checked all my "buttons" to be sure I had not accidently hit the one for the sliding car--I hadn't. I got off the hiway as soon as I could and pulled into a parking lot and shut off my car. Trying to decide what to do, I restarted my car to head back home. What? No lights came on and no weird driving noises or actions. Well, it happened again today.
My husband and I could not find anything about it in the owner's manual. Tonight my husband found your site, and I see that this has happened to many other Jeep owners!
If and when an answer does show up for this issue, I would appreciate a notification! Till then, I will continue to drive my Jeep and if the light comes on again, will pull over and shut off the car. Seems like that will temporarily solve the problem.
